It was a lovely Saturday afternoon on April 20th 2019. I was walking home after having a few beverages at at friends house when I stumbled upon Matt in his driveway. The two of us already knew each other as we grew up together living on the same street as kids and attended the same elementary school. We even share the same grade 2/3 photo, you can view this in our gallery!

We exchanged hellos and made some brief small talk and I carried on to my house. It wasn't but ten minutes later that I thought to myself, I should have asked him out.. This was definitely the liquid courage talking! !

I then hopped in my car to go ask him (he only lived 10 houses up, on the same street ironically). It was to my disappointment that he had already left in his truck. But that did not stop me. I looked him up on social media and sent him a message.

It was the following day, Easter Sunday, that we had our first date. We would then continue to spend every evening after together, getting to know each other.

Well, we fell in love!

Everyday together has been a blessing and our love grows stronger with each passing day.
