Like many great stories, ours began in the most unexpected way — during the quiet, uncertain days of COVID. Stuck at home and a little bored, we started talking. We had known of each other back in high school — followed each other on social media, shared a few mutual friends — but somehow, our paths never truly crossed. It took a global lockdown for fate to finally step in.
What started as casual conversations turned into long, late-night phone calls that neither of us wanted to end. Eventually, we decided it was time to meet in person. For our first date, we went mini golfing and then grabbed sushi — which is funny now, because neither of us actually likes sushi. After dinner, neither of us wanted the night to be over, so we just drove around for hours, talking and laughing, completely lost in each other’s company.
That night, we both knew this was something special. One date would never be enough.
Fast forward five years, and here we are — planning our wedding, looking back at how it all began, and looking forward to spending the rest of our lives together. From two kids who went to rival high schools to partners for life — our story is proof that love always finds its way, even when the world feels like it’s standing still.
