Below are a few hotels we have stayed at and I can vouch for their quality and location. The closer the hotel is the downtown Newport the more expensive it will be. I tend to look for hotels in Middletown, RI, it's the town next door. It would add maybe 3 miles to the trip to the mansion but the prices are usually almost half as expensive.
