Our Wedding

The Story of Us (written by Clay) Matthew and I first met briefly in 2015, at the time of our lives we were on different trajectories entirely, seemingly too different to coincide. However the universe had other plans for us, a few years later in 2022 we reconnected and the spark was undeniable. And since that fateful reconnection we have been inseparable, we’ve bought a beautiful first home together, adopted our Boston terrier Obi and our cat Draco together, traveled the country together, got engaged in Paris together. And now we’re setting our sights on Forever, Together. Deciding on a Wedding Venue (written by Matthew) When Clay, mom, and I first stepped foot on property at The Hidden Homestead we all seemed to feel a spark! The place is absolutely gorgeous!! We wanted to find a location that was not too far from all of our people, all of our family and friends that we love the MOST!! I felt right at home as we were walking around, and Scott who built it really thought of everything. He said that when he created it, he included the 26 things that the majority of couples want at their venue. Finally, after hearing that our guests could even live stream the ceremony for free, we were sold! I hope you enjoy the big day and the venue just as much as we do! Take your time as there is quite a bit to look at, we have access to the entire property with the exception of the houses that we are not renting out for the wedding and their yards. Feel free to enjoy the fire pit, gazebo, pond, bridge, and wooded area.

If you have never been to Buccee's I highly recommend it!!! It's the largest gas station that I have ever seen! It's like the Disney World of gas stations, if you're catching my drift! It's in the same city as the venue, so you don't have to drive far, and they have cheap gas, food, and merch! -Written by Matthew

Buc-ee's

This is a vineyard that I have been to several times! I discovered it once my best friend Brooke got a job there while attending college together at WKU. They have a wide variety of wines to sample and purchase. It is located right in Smiths Grove so it is very close to the venue. -Written by Matthew

Bluegrass Vineyard

Mom and I have visited the Corvette Museum in the past, and we really enjoyed it! Definitely an attraction to visit at least once in your lifetime, but especially if you are a car enthusiast. Just a 19 minute drive from the venue means you wont have to travel far to visit this unique Kentucky attraction! -Written by Matthew

If you are like Clay and I, then you love your coffee too! Clay's go-to drink is a caramel latte iced, and mine is usually the most unique flavor I can find on the menu added to an iced latte. One of my favorite coffee shops of all time is Spencer's Coffee. There are two locations in Bowling Green, and this location is the original downtown in the square. -Written by Matthew
