Matthew and Jessica met through a small group at their church, Porter Memorial Baptist Church. After getting to know each other for a few months, their first official date was at the pizzeria, Goodfellas, on August 24th. What followed was a whirlwind of sweet and exciting times, where they truly fell in love. It was after that year and some months that Matthew knew he was ready to pop the question.

Matthew led Jessica to believe that he was visiting family for the weekend of their proposal. He enlisted help from one of Jessica's best friends, Morgan, to take her to the Kentucky Castle for a "venue visit" for Morgan's future wedding. Little did she know Matthew stayed in Lexington, waiting to surprise her. Their engagement was a magical moment and one that neither of them will ever forget.

They are both very excited to be husband and wife on August 24th, and can not wait to celebrate this special day with family and friends.
