Description: The base camp, located on Gatewood Road, is a ten acre campground. This base camp is the closest base camp, in the industry, to the Lower New River "put-in" area at Cunard. It is also only minutes away from some of the fav' climbing, biking and hiking spots in the area and minutes from the New River Gorge Bridge. It is home to our popular onsite Family Friendly Grill & Pub, where we host live entertainment on Saturday night throughout the spring and summer rafting season (April-October) on our NEW "sundown" entertainment stage. The show starts at 7:00 and provides a lovely end to a full day of outdoor adventures. Eat your dinner at the grill porch or next to your campfire and enjoy some of the best local artists around. The grill is popular for their homemade dishes, breakfast, fresh wings and home made sauces. A bathhouse that is immaculate! Tent sites, RV sites and cabins are within easy walking distance to the bathhouse and the grill & pub. This base camp has fresh coffee available every morning on the "Kitchen" deck.
