Aubrey and I

Picture of Aubrey and I

Aubrey and I met almost two years ago at a game night at school. We were playing a game together, and I accused her of fascism. Of course, we hit it off. Well... not exactly. I thought she hated me for a time (she didn’t), but we got past that. Anyway, I hit her with my best line, “Do you wanna grab some ice cream tonight,” and I had her hook, line and sinker!

You could ask for her side, but I am the one writing, not her!

Anyway, we went to Carolines and talked for a couple of hours about the most romantic things: whether or not I was willing to wash dishes or change a diaper. I told her that those jobs only belonged to women... No! Single guys reading this, I did not say that. I am actually very particular about my cleaning habits. THERE IS A RIGHT AND WRONG WAY TO LOAD A DISHWASHER!! **Emily Sullivan**

From that moment on, I think hook, line and sinker is an understatement! We have grown in love for each other and have grown in love for the Lord along the way. Honestly, the only reason we are together even today is because we believe that together, we may glorify the Lord more than if we were separate. We compliment and challenge one another in beautiful (sometimes convicting and frustrating) ways. Our desire is that God would use us in whatever way He sees fit, and even in the celebration of this wedding that you are reading about, our whole goal is that He would become greater and we would become less.

Would you join us in this celebration? Not a celebration of our own victory or our own glory but of His. We are weak. He is strong. And so may we boast all the more in our weakness that His strength might be revealed in and through us.
