Our Wedding

Matt and Courtney fell in love over a mutual interest of the great outdoors, traveling, and good BBQ.  Courtney knew that Matt was the one when he left Bob Evans rolls on her doorstep for her birthday just days after their first date. Their relationship quickly took off and was filled with adventures and staying up late watching trashy reality TV (thank you Love is Blind and 90 Day Fiancé).  They took a 2 week road trip to camp and hike the national parks of Utah last year, where they learned how to work together as a team and discovered all of each other’s annoying habits. They can’t wait to keep exploring the world together and they are so excited to share their special day with the people who mean the most to them!

Our Story

The Deer Creek State Park Lodge is only 2 miles away from the venue and offers a variety of room options for families! There are also 2 bedroom cabins within the park, subject to availability. Please call the number above and ask for the Dilenschneider-Huck block when booking to access the group rate. Available rooms: 1. Standard Queen Room - 2 queen beds, sleeps up to 4 people ($160) 2. Bunk Room - 2 queen beds and 1 set of bunk beds, sleeps up to 6 people ($170) 3. King Room - 1 king bed, sleeps up to 2 people ($160) 4. Loft Room - 2 queen beds and 2 sets of bunk beds, sleeps up to 8 people ($190)

Things to Do

Best friends since preschool, Micayla and Courtney have been doing life (and trying to convince people they’re not twins) for as long as they can remember! Courtney couldn’t imagine her big day without Micayla by her side.

From bunk beds, screaming Maddon games, and complexities of life; Matt's older brother Michael has been Matt's Goose to every situation including his big day.

Courtney couldn’t believe her luck when her brother married Megan.  She couldn’t ask for a better first sister-in-law!

Zach is Courtney's oldest and only sibling. He has a notorious past of picking on Courtney growing up, but she is thankful to have him in the wedding party nonetheless.

Laurarose is Matt's younger sister and Courtney is lucky to be gaining her sisterhood and friendship.  Through the past few years of getting to know each other, Laurarose has learned that Courtney's answer to "have you seen this movie?" is almost always a no...and she loves her anyways.

 Zack often describes himself as a hippie with long ginger hair. He's just glad Matt is marrying another ginger with long hair. Zack and Matt bonded through German class, lacrosse, and game nights.

Courtney met Emily in her freshman Spanish class at OSU and their friendship took off. They lived together for 3 years during undergrad and have enjoyed many puppy play dates, movie nights, and ice cream trips since!

Emily Diefenbacher

Jack is Matt's best friend from high school who is a cop...so naturally the Designated Driver to most events except this one. Jack and Matt spent most of their time on the lacrosse field and at Young Life. Though they are very different in personality, Matt finds Jack to be a second brother to him.

Mary and Courtney spent a summer together in Ashland, KY when they were randomly paired up for a vet school externship. They bonded over Bob Evans, cat bites, and saving kittens off the highway - and they’ve been friends ever since!

Mary Coleman

Andrew is one of Matt's Roommates in College. They bonded through their love of sharing ministry and lived in a crazy college house where many unknown and random things happened anytime. You would often find Andrew and Matt watching NFL games on Sunday together in the afternoon and sharing deep life moments on Sunday night. Andrew has been a strong friend that Matt can't imagine not having with him on this day.

Abigail was one of Courtney’s random roommates her freshman year of undergrad and they stayed together all 4 years.  Even though they now live in different cities, Courtney is still dealing with her shenanigans!

Jackson is one of Matt's friends from Ohio University. Jackson and Matt often found themselves having deep conversations about life at 2 am at their college house after life-threatening games of Euchre and Resistance. This led to them finding that they share a bond over dark humor and saying things you shouldn't say. Why he trusts him to officiant the wedding-well we are not sure. But we know Jackson has questioned, grown, and encouraged Matt through many stages of his life, and Matt cannot stop himself from laughing with Jackson around.
