Our story begins on 28 August 2019 with a chance encounter.

We were both on our way to work, taking the same routes we did each day, but never having crossed paths on our journeys prior to that day.

With a good old fashioned slide into the Instagram DM's from Matt, we quickly began speaking all day every day, until we arranged our first date for 4th September 2019.

We were inseparable from that day forward (if we can ignore the global pandemic that put the world on hold in March 2020), and became boyfriend and girlfriend on 29 September 2019.

We moved into our first home together on 21 October 2021, moving into our second home just one road way in October 2023.

It was a trip to Paris for Abbie's sister's 30th birthday where we got engaged, overlooking the Eiffel Tower on a gorgeous sunny day.
