Our Wedding

Our story began in the most unexpected way, on the softball field at UNC Chapel Hill. After one of my games, my dad, Jay, introduced me to Matt on April 26th, 2023 (Shout out Dad). What I didn’t know at the time was that I had just met my future husband. It wasn’t until about a year later that Matt and I started dating, but during that time, I had moved back home to High Point to finish my final year of softball at Carolina University, where Matt worked as the Director of Sports Performance. God was doing a lot of work behind the scenes that we had no idea was going on. We first connected through a shared desire to grow in our faith. One day, we decided to start a community group together, hoping to build a space where others could deepen their walk with Christ. Ironically, no one ever showed up to the group, but that gave us plenty of time to talk. In those moments, we both realized there was something special between us. It became obvious very quickly that this was more than just a friendship—this was forever. Matt proposed on October 19th, 2024 and from the very beginning, we’ve focused on building our relationship on the foundation of Christ. We pray that our marriage will continue to grow in a way that honors the Lord and serves as a light to others, as we begin this beautiful, amazing, and exciting journey together.
