Our love story is not the classic story you have all heard. We are not high school sweethearts, we did not meet at a speed dating company, and we did not meet through mutual friends. We met the only way people meet these days…Online. Having sent less than 5 messages they decided to meet up at a restaurant. When Matt first saw Rachel he could only think “wow, she is out of my league.” Matt and Rachel spent time at the restaurant having some food and drinks and doing what all new couples do. You guessed it…rooting for the Golden State Warriors and not the Miami Heat…obviously. When Matt found out Rachel was a fan of the Golden State Warriors he knew this girl had potential.

Matt quickly asked Rachel out on a second date the very next day for a night in Portland with food and ice cream. Who would say no to that? Matt and Rachel had their first kiss under the stars in Portland.

After that date Matt knew he had to make things official with Rachel before somebody else did. Matt knew the pressure was on and started making a 8 hour dinner the following morning. Horrified he forgot a key ingredient and begged his coworker to cover for him while he went home on lunch. With the perfect home made dinner and the sun setting it was the perfect time to ask Rachel to be Matt’s girlfriend. She couldn’t say “yes” fast enough.
