June 6th 2020 marked our fist year anniversary but also was when we took our first picture together; thanks to Monica Snarr.

Matt is from Billings, Montana & Vanessa is from Yakima, Washington. Two cities that can be very similar. We grew up in small towns surrounded by fruit and corn fields, with big city dreams and going to rodeos (although for Vanessa these events are called jaripeos (Mexican rodeo); Matt is still so confused as to why the country artist comes out singing on a horse - haha.

During the pandemic we were given the opportunity to visit beautiful cities and towns in Montana, so naturally those were the first places we considered right after getting engaged. However, we then visited Sayulita a few months after and realized or at least thought at that time that it would be easier to have a wedding there; not really the case, but what's done is done. AND what is not to love; beach = love, tacos = love, warm weather = love, tequila = love, at least most, if not drink a michelada with me.
If possible, avoid black clothing, or dark colors like: navy or burgundy.
