Waldmann Brewery and Restaurant

Golf course and ceremony site. One of our favorite golf courses in the cities. The first nine holes, known as the Queen’s Nine, were designed by Annika Sorenstam, and the last nine, known as the King’s Nine, were designed by the late Arnold Palmer.

Referred to as the nicest 9-hole course in Minnesota. The best value course we have played. The quirky layout and well groomed fairways have become one of our favorite ways to get in a quick 9. The rumor is the course is shutting down in 2020 but we refuse to believe it. 

The Ponds at Battle Creek Golf Course

Beautiful park with endless walking trails. One of Dana’s favorite spots in the cities. 

Lebanon Hills Regional Park

In 2020, Matt got Dana Twins season tickets. We are still waiting for the season to start up. We definitely recommend checking out Target Field near the end of the season with a home stand vs. the Blue Jays.

Things to Do

Well... intramural basketball was about to start up our freshman year in college and Cody kind of stands out in a crowd. We started playing pickup ball together and found out we have basically everything in common. We have had years of friendship highlighted by basketball, crying over the Twins losing, Xbox, and Mountain Dew. Times have changed a little bit with conversations moving toward investment strategy and our golf games. 

Cody Gallaher

This sweet little ray of sunshine was my roommate for two years at Winona State, where our kitchen dance parties were born! Since then, we've traveled to the other side of the world together and several places in between. She made me an "auntie" and she was with me the hour before I met Matt, and then again when I called her on my way home from our date smiling from ear to ear :) She also threw me the greatest celebration of all time, as only best friends can do, when she got married on my birthday in 2015. I was so excited to be by her side that day, and can't wait for her to be next to me on mine!

Sonja Murray

I met Nate the first day of college in the back seat of a 15 passenger van and bonded over a twins hat. We became great friends throughout college. We could be found studying, playing pickup basketball, or practicing for ultimate. After college we both worked in Hutchinson (there is a heated debate over who followed whom) where we roomed together, continued to play sports, and picked up bird hunting. I eventually left Hutch and Nate indisputably followed me back into the cities - don't let his wife tell you different. 

Nate Behning

Sash and my friendship starts where most do... in high school Spanish Club! That was *15* years ago now... time sure does fly! From summers at the cabin in Perham, to countless standby adventures, we have more stories and memories than most accumulate in a lifetime. She finally left Minnesota for warmer weather several years ago and has built a beautiful life and family there, and our friendship has only grown closer, despite the distance. In a way, we have Sash to thank for Matt and I being together; I only joined a dating app because she did! She ended up finding love the old fashioned way, and I got to stand with her when she married her man in 2019. Now it's her turn :) 

Sasha Neefe

Cody is one of Dana's closest friends and sibling, within 15 years of age, Matt never had. Cody is always a welcome addition to all of our adventures  whether on the golf course, exploring the North Shore, or knocking out a puzzle in less than a day. Whose side Cody would stand on was a highly contested conversation for Matt and Dana.

Cody Rondeau

Jenny was quite literally the girl next door when I moved into my dorm Freshman year. Go W, Go S, Go WSU! NO ONE makes me laugh harder than this one.   Whether it's finding the best mai tai at a dive bar in San Francisco's Chinatown, or playing hundreds of games of Phase 10 at local craft breweries, life is never dull with Jenny by your side; which is precisely why she'll be right there when Matt and I say I do!
