Where is the wedding taking place?
In the bride's hometown-area of Northwest Ohio. The ceremony will be held on the bride's family's property across the street from her mother's residence and the reception will be held at the Knights of Columbus- Archbold reception hall. Addresses can be found on the home page or on your wedding invitation.
A Note About the Ceremony Location
The ceremony is being held on the bride's family's property, originally owned by her maternal great-grandparents. To find the ceremony location (as there is no exact address for the plot of land) the bride and groom suggest using the Bride's mother's address (given as the address in the invitation and on the website) and following the signs to the wedding venue. A picture showing the location of these sites in comparison with the other has been included below:
What time is the ceremony? What time is the reception?
The ceremony will start at 5:30 pm (please get there 10ish minutes early to choose your seat!). Immediately following the ceremony, guests who are not a part of the bridal party or the bride and groom's immediate family are invited to head to the reception venue for refreshments.
What is the dress code? What should I wear?
The dress code is Semi-Formal, but ultimately, we want our guests to be comfortable, feel confident, and able to enjoy the day. Feel free to dress up as you'd like, but don't feel pressured to prioritize beauty at the expense of pain (or discomfort).
What weather should I expect?
Weather is hard to predict, especially in Ohio. As it is a mid-June, summer wedding, we're expecting (and hoping) that the weather will be warm (high 70s- low 80s Fahrenheit) and sunny. Please check the weather report for Napoleon, OH for more detailed information and remember to stay hydrated and wear more breathable clothing if the weather will be warm!
Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony will be outdoors (in an area with little to no shade). The reception will be held indoors in an air-conditioned building.
What should I expect after the ceremony?
Immediately following the ceremony the bride and groom will be taking pictures with their bridal party and their immediate family for about an hour and a half. Guests are welcome to drive to the reception hall where refreshments will be provided. Dinner will be served after the arrival of the bridal party, with dancing to follow.
Will transportation be provided? Is there easy parking at the venues?
Unfortunately, we are unable to provide transportation for our guests. However, parking at both the ceremony and reception venues is plentiful and easy to find.
How do I RSVP?
We really hope that you are able to participate in our special day! You can RSVP for you and anyone else included on your invitation here on our website under the "RSVP" tab.
When is the RSVP deadline?
In order to ensure that we are prepared to accommodate for all of our guests, please RSVP by May 25th.
Can I bring my kids? Will there be a babysitter?
We would love for you to bring your kids to help celebrate our commitment to each other and to God! We appreciate all of the love and support from each one of our family members and friends. There will not be a babysitter, but there will be plenty of family members and friends who love kids just as much as we do!
Can I bring my partner?
We tried our best to make sure that all those in serious relationships had a plus one for their special guest. If we missed you, however, please reach out! If we can accommodate for your partner (or friend, or family member who would make the night more comfortable for you), we would love to have them.
I can't attend the wedding in person. Will there be a virtual celebration?
Unfortunately, we are unable to live-stream our ceremony. However, if you have received an invitation, know that we are already so thankful for the love and support you have shown us thus far and understand that things come up and everyone cannot make it to everything.
Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend that we stay?
As of now, we do not have a hotel block. If you're looking for hotels, we suggest choosing one on our "Travel" page. Underneath each option is a quick synopsis of the cost range for each hotel and the driving distance to each of the venues, but we further suggest doing your own research on these options to pick the best choice for your situation.
Are the ceremony and reception location wheelchair accessible?
The ceremony location is a grassy area. There should be plenty of room to maneuver, but guests may or may not find it difficult to roll a wheelchair over the grass. The reception location is easily wheelchair accessible!
What type of food and drink will be served at the cocktail hour and reception?
Light snacks and non-alcoholic drinks will be served during the cocktail hour. Dinner and dessert will also be served later in the evening.
I have dietary restrictions. What is the best way to communicate that with you?
We definitely want you to be able to enjoy your day and your dinner! If you have concerns about the food or dietary restrictions, please leave us a note when you RSVP! We can't promise that we will be able to accommodate for everything, but we will certainly do our best.
Will there be an open bar?
We have chosen to have a dry wedding, meaning that not only will there not be an open bar, but no alcohol will be served at all. Additionally, the venue has a policy preventing outside alcoholic beverages from being brought in. We know that this may be very different and unexpected for some of our guests, but we appreciate you respecting our decision (and our venue's policy) to not serve alcohol on our wedding day.
Are you registered? Where should we ship your gifts?
Currently, we are registered through Amazon. Our registry can be found on our wedding website (this website) under the "Registry" tab. We would also greatly appreciate gift cards for date nights, furniture (we will have to buy it all!), or any kind of home furnishing or improvement store. All gifts can be mailed or shipped to the bride's mother's residence (as listed on the website and included on the registry) or can be brought to the reception. If you don't have the finances for a gift (or for a gift that you'd like to be able to give us), no worries! We just appreciate your willingness to celebrate with us on our special day :)
Can I post pictures of the wedding on social media?
Please do! We love pictures and would love to make sure we don't miss any that are posted, so please use our wedding hashtag (#GodBlessMerica6/15) when you post!
