Have you ever heard of 'The Invisible String' theory? In East Asia the legend of The Red Thread of Fata claims two people, destined to be true loves, have an invisible red cord binding them together. The string is so strong that even if the two are separated by time, distance or obstacles they will find their way back to one another.

Matt and Kendall grew up with very parallel lives. Both born and raised in Grand Rapids and summering in Pentwater. They had mutual friends growing up and even attended the same wedding, still without ever meeting. Thankfully Kendall had the honor of meeting Scott, Matt's father, at the wedding. The day after, Kendall moved to Chicago...

Fast forward one year to an evening at Pentwater beach where the Bride and Groom were officially introduced. They closed down the bars that night and fell fast. Matt and Kendall would make weekend trips between Chicago, Grand Rapids and Pentwater. A few years in they bought their first home and grew their family by adopting Pearl!

On August 5th 2023, on that very beach in Pentwater, Matt asked Kendall to marry him.

They felt as if they were destined to meet but only the legend of The Red Thread of Fata knew the proper timing.
