Matt and Abbey first met each other in their computer technology class at Gilmer High School. Abbey just happened to transfer into the class after a week of being in computer science class. Matt promptly began talking to Abbey through Snapchat, and not long after, he asked her to go to a formal that Gilmer has each year. This dance was the first time for the two of them to talk and get to know each other in person. Not long after they started going on dates to dinner and the movies. After a date to Santa Land in November of 2019 Matt asked Abbey to be his girlfriend. They have been dating ever since, and after dating for 5 years God made it so clear to them that they were to be married. In April of 2024 Matt got down on one knee and asked Abbey to marry him, and since you're on this website you see what her answer was!
