Matt and Sophia had their first date on May 8th, 2017 at a Starbucks in Springfield, IL. After their first date, they both knew that there was something special about the connection they shared. They spent almost two amazing years together, filled with so much love and laughter. After Sophia graduated high school, she enlisted in the military and Matt was finishing up college at ISU so the couple ended up parting ways. Five years had passed and they both grew as individuals but kept in touch, knowing they would always be there for one another even if it was just as friends. Cut to April 28th, 2023... Matt and his friends were at a casino in St.Charles, Missouri, where Sophia lived at the time. Sophia saw where they were from a social media post and reached out to Matt to mention what a coincidence it was that they were only a mile from where she lived. Matt invited her to join them at the casino and Sophia said yes. Both were so excited and anxious to see each other again after all those years but as soon as they hugged, they knew they were home. The whole night they talked and caught up on what happened throughout the years. Eight months later Matt proposed to Sophia and she said yes. Both agreed five years was long enough and they never want to spend another day apart.
