What's the best way to RSVP?

RSVP cards w/ stamped envelopes will be provided and guest should return by April 20, 2024.

What if you stay at a different resort?

If you decide to stay at a different resort than the Lopesan and Riu Palace, please let us know.

When booking your stay.

If you book your room through the resort website, be careful as they can be glitchy. Booking through Orbitz or Expedia is a bit smoother process. Check the price on both sites, as they can vary.

What is the dress code?

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

If staying at the Lopesan Costa Bavaro Resort transportation will be picking up guests to arrive at the venue 10-15 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony.

What is the wedding day itinerary?

4:30-5:00 Ceremony 5:00-6:00 Cocktail Hour 6-7:30 Dinner 7:30 Reception begins

Will transportation to the venue be provided?

This depends on where you're staying. If you stay at the Riu Resort, you will be able to walk to the venue on the beach. For guests staying at Lopesan Costa Bavaro Resort, a shuttle will be provided to and from the wedding venue.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

The wedding ceremony will be held in a pavilion next to the beach. The reception will be indoors.

Can you take pictures?

We are having an unplugged ceremony. We ask that you do not take pictures during the ceremony so that you can join us during this very special moment in our lives. After the ceremony you are welcome to take pictures.

Will there be an open bar?

The answer is SI!

What type of food will be served?

There will be hor d'oeuvres served during cocktail hour. Dinner will be a three course meal that has been predetermined. If you have any specific dietary needs, please lets us know so that you can be accommodated.

Is a tourist visa required to enter the Dominican Republic?

Tourist visa are not required for visits shorter than 30 days. Passports must be valid for the period of stay in the Dominican Republic. You will be required to complete an electronic ticket for the General Immigration Office before entering and leaving the Dominican Republic. It’s super easy to complete once you have booked your flight. Follow the link below for completing the e-ticket application: https://eticket.migracion.gob.do/ Once it's done it will generate a QR code which you will present at the airline counter. If you have any questions, please let us know.

Will there be any other events throughout the weekend?

Matthew is planning on setting up a round of golf with those who are interested. We are thinking of setting up either a Dune Buggy Adventure or Catamaran with everyone if there is enough interest. More details to follow.

Should we bring or send wedding gifts?

We know it's a big ask to have everyone travel to the Dominican Republic for our wedding. That is a gift in and of itself. We don't want anyone spending any more on us than their travel expenses.
