Matt & Elise's story began long before they started dating. When Matt was in high school, he became good friends with Elise's brother, Nate Bowder. This is how Matt & Elise first met - although the two didn't really talk much back then. Over the years, they would see each other whenever Matt was over at Nate's house hanging out & made the occasional small talk...Little did they know what the future had in store.

Flash forward to 2012: Elise had moved back to Lancaster from Philadelphia. (Both Matt & Elise attended college in Philadelphia. Matt went to LaSalle & Elise went to Temple, but their paths never crossed.) One summer night, Elise went out to Marion Court with some friends. Coincidentally, Matt was there too! Matt, along with groomsmen Steve Garrett, recognized "Nate's sister," so Matt invited Elise over & offered to buy her a drink. The two talked for a while & there was an instant connection…

Soon after their run-in at Marion, Matt got Elise's phone number. The two started hanging out & a couple weeks later they started dating (Matt asked Nate if he could ask his sister on a date first!).....Now roughly four years later, Matt & Elise are GETTING MARRIED!!!!!!!!
