Kiley's Version of How We Met

Matt and I met in college. I was friends with his roommate and his roommate brought me and a few other people back to his dorm one day. Matt was on his computer, and he looked up and said hi. Over time we became friends, and we would play madden and eat lunch together, and hang out with our friend group. At one point a year had passed and we had not seen each other in a long time. We ran into each other outside of our class buildings randomly one day. What was special about this day was that Matt was originally planning on heading home but instead decided to head back to eat lunch. If he had not done that, we would not have seen each other and likely would not have started hanging out again. He came over to my apartment a few days later to do homework and when he left that day, I realized how much I liked him. We kept talking as friends and several weeks later I came over to his house to hang out. We kept hanging out over several days watching Halloween movies and eventually we had our first kiss. That was the beginning of our forever.

Kiley and I both enrolled at Arkansas Tech University as freshmen in 2018. Little did we know we would be so close together, living in the same dorm as one another (M-street); I was on the 1st floor, and Kiley was on the 4th floor. My roommate at the time was extroverted and met a lot of people the first week of college, one of those being Kiley. Kiley and I would hang out and grow our friendship over that year. We would study, play video games/board games, play tag, and eat lunches and dinners in the cafeteria, from time to time. In the Fall of 2019 and spring of 2020, our friendship was lessened because we did not live in the same dorm, and then COVID hit, but we still texted and tried to stay connected with each other. However, in the spring of 2020, everything changed. After class one day, I decided instead of doing my normal thing of going back to my house for lunch, I went from Corley Hall to the student center. On my way, I ran into Kiley, and we started chatting on the way to her class. This encounter reminded me of how much I enjoyed being in Kiley's presence, this grew our friendship back to what it was freshman year, even though we did live in the same dorm. I eventually realized that I did not want to live with the thought of what could have been between me and Kiley. So I took my shot, and she felt the same about me. Now we are inseparable and take on each other hobbies and interest in full. I enjoy reading and playing basketball with Kiley, and Kiley enjoys playing board games with me, and we both bring out each silliness to the max!
