Our Wedding

May of 2018, Matt and Sam were introduced through a group created for incoming SUNY Poly freshman to connect. After connecting and beginning to get to know one another, they found out they were both attending SUNY Poly Freshman Orientation in July. There they were in the SUNY Poly Campus Center. Sam walked in and saw Matt sitting there with his dad. With butterflies in her stomach, she waved at him. Matt, not realizing who it was...looked at her confused and lowered his head, then realized who it was. Sam was utterly embarrassed, as well as Matt. After swallowing his embarrassment, he then approached her to say hello and the two hit it off. Later, he sat right next to her at the presentation portion of orientation. “Coincidentally”. After orientation, they began to further get to know each other via texting, and numerous late night facetime calls before school began. Once Matt and Sam began the next chapter of their lives at SUNY Poly, so did theirs. Sam helped him move in on move-in day as she was there early for volleyball. When Matt saw her he gave her a big hug like they’ve known each other for years. They hung out almost every day, and about two weeks into college they began dating and have been together ever since. Almost seven years later they are both still head over heels for one another and so excited for this next chapter of their lives together.
