Matt first met Sarah at Jilly’s Coffee and Cakes in Iowa, where her warm smile quickly became his favorite part of the day. From Iowa, their journey took them to Texas and then Utah, growing closer with every new experience. After three years of dating, they decided it was time to put down roots, finding a home together in the mountains of Colorado.

During Christmas of 2024, on a trip back to Iowa, Matt took Sarah to Jilly’s. There, beside the twinkling lights of a Christmas tree, he got down on one knee and asked her to spend forever with him—and she said yes!
