Our Wedding

Matthew and Rachel met in September of 2022 in the BYU EMT class. Immediately upon meeting, both of them felt a connection and became fast friends. Their love story began shortly after that. Some might say that Matthew’s sister, Caitlyn, and their friend, Ty, were instrumental in their relationship. But, shortly after becoming friends, they began to partner up to practice EMT skills; making slings, immobilizing joints / limbs, and even mouth to mouth ;) About 1 week later, Matthew decided that he wanted to ask Rachel on a date. So, he did. After class one day, Matthew decided to be direct and approach Rachel. He asked her on a date and that very next day, they went to Bombay House for Chicken Tikka Masala and Garlic Naan. Following that, they went axe throwing and watched the perfect movie for them; “The Art of Racing in the Rain,” a movie about a dog, a love story and racing. Immediately following that first date, Matthew and Rachel began to spend every possible moment with each other. They began to fall in love and eventually made their relationship official in mid October of 2022. Their love has since developed and grown into the love that it is today; a love so great they want to spend the rest of eternity together.

Though celebrating from home, Nellie holds a special place in both the bride and groom’s hearts. Despite her sometimes demonic tendencies, Nellie has a big heart and loves everyone. We will miss her in our wedding festivities.
