April 2021, both Matthew and Sabrina walked into their first day of the Oswego County Police Academy to begin their careers as police officers. Little did they know, it was also their first day of forever.

Matthew and Sabrina built an inseparable friendship that they finally realized may not have been only a friendship after all. Sabrina told Matthew that she would not agree to “date” him unless he asked her in a cute way. So on March 26th, 2022, Matthew asked Sabrina to hike 2,832ft to the peak Mount Jo in the Adirondack Mountains where he asked her if she would “date” him. For some reason, she said yes.

Since then, they have had the birth of their beautiful son Dawson and shared countless memories together as a family. Everyday that passes, they realize how truly grateful they are that they walked into each other’s life’s that morning in April 2021.
