Since we are not all able to physically be together, we can be together virtually. We'd LOVE to see pictures of friends and family viewing our wedding from all over. Send a picture or join "The Guest" to upload pictures for all to see.

COVID UPDATE for July 2, 2020.
Dear Family and Friends,
During this ever-changing time in our country, what we can & can’t do has been in constant motion. We’ve recently encountered some additional unexpected hiccups & at this time, the governor in Michigan has made some changes due to an increase in COVID-19 cases. Here is an update on numbers and how we are able accommodate people.
The Ceremony
We are capable of having 200 people at the church based on the social distancing guidelines of the Archdiocese of Detroit. Masks are REQUIRED for everyone at the church, throughout the entirety of the ceremony. The church is working very hard & taking every precaution to stay clean. When you enter the church, there are signs indicating safety protocols, social distancing guidelines and sanitizer is provided for all to use. Families will sit every other pew. There are also markers on the floor indicating how to proceed to communion should you choose to participate in the sacrament. We are capable of accommodating everyone who has indicated they are coming to our wedding at the church safely. Everyone is welcome.
The Reception
As of now in regard to our reception, we are only able to accommodate feeding 100 people for an outdoor reception. The venue has put up a tent allowing for 100 people with social distancing based on the guidelines provided by the State of Michigan. Oakland County & venue are working to help us accommodate the rest of our guests in a different tent. We are striving to make that happen and keep everyone safe. Currently a second tent is not guaranteed and if we cannot accommodate all our guests, we will have an additional celebration at a later date. If you would like to volunteer your seat(s) at dinner, please let us know ASAP.
At this time, we know that with the increased cases nationwide, comfort levels are changing. Matt and I, with the support of our parents, would encourage you to make the best decision for your health and wellness. If you no longer feel safe traveling, please let us know. We know that it is last minute, but we have the ability to change numbers until Monday should you choose to change your mind. While it is our hope to share our reception with everyone, we understand the need to put your health and wellness first.
Please know that we are still working hard to accommodate everyone that is coming at our reception. We will communicate again on Monday, July 6th should we need to make further changes.
Should you have a change in heart, please email us at MandKZix@gmail.com
COVID-19 UPDATE as of June 2nd:
Family and Friends,
Yesterday Matt and I received news that Michigan is opening up more things. We have been in touch with our venue and are hopeful that we can continue with our special day. It is a very fluid situation. We know that several, if not most of you, have to travel and are trying to make decisions swiftly and quickly. At least time, we still remain optimistic. We should have a final decision early to mid-week next week on whether we need to go to plan B. At this time, Matt and I encourage you to make a decision to attend based on what is best for your family. We know that at this time, there is a lot of uncertainty and everyone's comfort level varies. While we want to share our special day with you, EVERYONE'S health and safety is priority number one. We will continue to update you all on this situation. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please do not hesitate to text or call Matt or Katy. Katy's cellphone number is 248-752-9120.
If you're worried about getting your RSVP card in by the 12th, don't stress. You can RSVP online. We also have wiggle room with giving the venue the final numbers.
With love,
Matt and Katy
Directions to the Reception from Church:
We do not recommend following your GPS. It will take you down dirt roads to get to the venue. While this is the fastest route to the venue, dirt roads in Michigan often are extremely bumpy and dirty. Please follow the directions below.

COVID-19 UPDATE as of June 5th:
Family and Friends,
IT'S HAPPENING!!! Thank you all for your patience. We have heard from our venue and we are a go! Matt and I are getting to have our wedding and our reception. There are still going to be restrictions. Everyone must wear a mask in the church. Masks will be required at the reception unless you are sitting at your table eating. There will be enough seating so that we can all be together but still safely social distance. We have the whole estate so there will be room for people to spread out. For dinner, all seating will be inside. There is space outside for people to go if they need a break.
Thank you all for your patience in this very challenging time. Once again, Matt and I encourage you to make a decision to attend based on what is best for your family. We know that at this time, there is a lot of uncertainty and everyone's comfort level varies. While we want to share our special day with you, EVERYONE'S health and safety is priority number one. There shouldn't be much more to update you all on. But if something comes up, we will continue to update the wedding website.
Lastly, it has been hit or miss with making reservations at the Crowne Plaza. While this is the "preferred" place for our guests to stay, we would encourage you to get a room at the Embassy suites if you cannot get a room at the Crowne Plaza. To my knowledge, it has been challenging to get ahold of them because they are not fully opened. We have been in touch with them to see when they will open back up. I imagine it will be soon since the Governor of Michigan continues to open businesses up. But if you're worried about waiting, we would encourage you to go to the Embassy Suits. Both blocks have plenty of rooms left in them.
Thanks,
Katy
