Our Wedding

For our first date, Tyler drove the 45ish miles from Deer Park to Conroe to meet Matty for the first time. We hit it off instantly and our first date consisted of wandering around Kroger, getting Smoothie King, eating Whataburger, and talking for countless hours in the front seat of Matty’s Land Rover (where he lost a zippo he was going to give her that was never to be found). Tyler officially asked Matty out on December 17th, 2021. We were together for a little over 2 years when he popped the question on 03/11/2024 in his bedroom while she was waking up from a nap. We are currently working on remodeling our forever home and hope to have it done and ready to move in some time close to the wedding.

We’re going for a dressy casual vibe! We kindly ask you stay away from the colors pictured above (navy, raspberry purple, and light fuchsia) along with white and other colors typically reserved for the bride.       For men we request…   For pants…dark wash jeans, khakis, or dress pants.    For shirts…button-down shirt, polos, or a sweater (keep in mind it’s October in Texas! It can either be cool or warm)    For shoes…dress boots or shoes. Cowboy boots are also welcome!       For women we request…   Sundress, midi-dress, or a casual maxi dress.   For shoes…sandals, wedges, cowboy boots, or booties.   If you prefer something more “relaxed,” dressy pants, skirts, or a jumpsuit are welcomed as well! Feel free to layer as well if needed for weather!     Be yourself, be comfortable, come as you are ♡

What to Wear

There’s not much to do in Conroe…but Huntsville, The Woodlands, and Houston are all nearby and offer lots of fun things to do!

One of our favorite places to go together is The Woodlands Mall. The Woodlands also has Market Street for shopping and the Waterway with various places for dining.   Huntsville has a state park for fishing, hiking, and camping and the giant Sam Houston statue! There is also the Texas State Prison Museum as well.   Houston has the most to do with things such as Space Center Houston, the Natural Science, Fine Arts, and Health museums, the Houston Zoo, Downtown Aquarium, and there’s lots of parks as well!
