Our journey began in the most unexpected way on OkCupid. Both of us had reached a point where we were over the dating scene but decided to give it one last shot. Encouraged by close friends and family who had success on the platform, we signed up, and within days, we matched. From that moment, everything just felt right.

Our first date was on July 26, 2021, during the pandemic, right after Robert returned from a camping trip. From that night on, he was incredibly consistent every weekend, he made sure we had time together. Whether it was picnics at the park, sunset wine dates on the beach, lakeside strolls, movies, or dinners, we quickly became inseparable.

One of the most beautiful parts of our love story is how seamlessly Robert connected with my daughter, Kairi. Watching their bond grow made me fall for him even more. As time passed, we met each other’s families, made it official, and started traveling together.

Our first big trip was to Santana Row and Monterey, where I met his longtime friends CJ and Christina, along with our goddaughters Cherish and Charity. That trip was followed by birthdays in Lake Tahoe and Reno, where I met more of his family, including his cousin Mike. But our most unforgettable trip was to Hawaii for Kairi’s birthday after that, it became a tradition to visit Disney as a family.

Life brought us both joy and heartbreak. We experienced the pain of loss, but through it all, our love remained unshaken. Shortly after, we welcomed our rainbow babies, Phoenix and King, into the world, making our family complete.
