Mavis and Joe met in June 2021 through mutual friends by an exchange of photos. It was surprising to find out that we were both from Mount Vernon, NY but never crossed paths. Our first date was miniature golf and dinner at City Island. We later exchanged numbers not knowing that this one evening would be the beginning of a friendship that would develop into a relationship.

As our relationship continued to strengthen, we merged our once separate residences into one. This was an adventure as you really get to learn your partner once you live together. We embarked on new experiences including meeting each others children and families.

While living our best lives, we have enjoyed learning new things about each other as well as traveling and experiencing new places together (Las Vegas, NV, Myrtle Beach, SC, and National Harbor, MD) with many more adventures ahead.

After being in a relationship for eighteen months full of joy, pain, fun, laughter, and most of all love; Joe proposed on January 3rd, 2023. We are excited and looking forward to the future as we join together in holy matrimony.
