133 Days To Go!

Our Story

The very first memory I have of Max was when I was in 6th grade and Max was in 7th grade.

I liked to hang out with my sister and her friends, which Max was included in that group. I guess on this particular day I was really annoying Max, and I just remember him going, "UUGH you're such an anus!"

Now at this time I was quite sensitive as a little 6th grader and I ran away crying. I remember I hated him because he called me that and throughout the rest of my middle school years, I forgot about him.

Telling this story is quite funny because now looking back we were just babies and it's crazy to think I'm marrying the kid who was once a "bully."

Skip forward to my freshman year of high school. I was going through a weird change in friend groups and I found myself not having many people to hang out with. So, I started hanging out with my sister's friend group again and I ran into Max.

Over that year we started becoming closer friends and surprisingly we bonded over spending hours playing Minecraft together. I mean, we would stay up until 3am talking about anything and everything.

Then on December 6th, at around 8pm, during my Sophomore year of high school, I got a text from Max asking, "Do you think you could ever see me as more than a friend?" I mean this freaked me out, of course in a good way, but I had never even been close to having a relationship before and I took having a boyfriend very seriously. I ended up saying yes, and he asked me if I would be his girlfriend and I said....let me think about it. I made this poor man wait two days before I gave him a clear yes that I would be his girlfriend.

He later told me that those were the most anxious days he's ever been in. To my defense though, I was nervous. That's all I can say.

Obviously, I became his girlfriend. I told him yes on December 8th, during our nutrition break at school, right before the bell rang.

On our 3 year anniversary, Max took me to Pastini's in Eugene, and proposed to me in front of a little Christmas tree display.

Throughout our relationship we've helped each other grow, not only in maturity but in our relationships with Christ. We've balanced each other out and found the person we can laugh with. We're so excited for this next part of life and we hope you can join us in it.
