Our story begins in the fall of 2020, when Tessa began her freshman year at Iowa State. Max had already been at Iowa State for a year. Max and Tessa met through mutual friends in FarmHouse Fraternity and Chi Omega.

After their first conversation, they instantly connected over their shared love of Jesus. They began dating on April 5th, 2021. Since then, Max and Tessa have made countless memories together. From traveling together, weekly cake nights, countless Starbucks dates, dancing, laughing, and growing together, it is clear that their love story was made by God. They have done long distance, whether it be from Minnesota to Iowa, or from India to Arizona. They both love to laugh with each other, and just do life together. It has been their greatest joy to get to know everything about each other. They have gone through the highest of highs and lowest of lows together over the last 3+ years. However, the one thing that has never changed is that they both love each other unconditionally and push each other to follow Christ.

On October 6, 2023, Max finally popped the question and asked Tessa to marry him! Max proposed at the spot that he took Tessa for their first date after they started dating. That date (April 7, 2021) was when Max knew he wanted to spend forever with Tessa. He planned a surprise engagement party following the proposal, which was the most perfect night!

They are enjoying this season of engagement, but know that the best is yet to come, and they can't wait to see what God has in store for this next chapter of their lives.
