It all started in high school—Maya was a freshman, and Jared was a junior. One of the first times they ever hung out was when Jared asked Maya to prom. Neither of them expected much from that night, but it turned out to be the beginning of something special.

After prom, Jared started picking Maya up for school every morning, and they quickly became inseparable. They supported each other at every game—Jared on the baseball field and Maya on the volleyball court—and spent more time together than apart.

They had an amazing two years together at OU—Greek life events, dinners out, and late-night study sessions. After graduation, Jared began his career, and Maya joined him two years later. Maya spent a summer back home before finding their first house together in Sunbury.

Jared always knew he wanted to propose to Maya, and on a trip to Argentina, he waited for the perfect moment. He had planned a boat ride to a secluded island in Patagonia, and when they arrived he asked the question. Maya said yes!

After eight incredible years together, it is still surreal. From high school to home ownership, they have grown up side by side and are so proud of the love they’ve built. They can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with all the people who have been part of our journey.
