Formal cocktail attire. We suggest that men wear a suit or dress shirt with tie and women wear a midi- or knee-length dress or dressy separates. No jeans please.
Bridesmaids will be wearing shades of green.
Groomsmen will be in black.
Where will the ceremony and reception take place?
Both will take place at Gathered Oaks. Weather depending, we hope to have the ceremony outside with the reception being held indoors.
What time should I arrive?
The doors to the venue will open 30 minutes ahead of our ceremony time. We recommend arriving at the ceremony venue at least 15 minutes ahead of the ceremony start time to ensure you have enough time to walk to the ceremony space (located behind the barn).
Will transportation be provided?
Yes a shuttle will be provided from Fairfield Inn & Suites and Arrowwood Resort to venue before the ceremony, and again at the end of the night. Pick up and drop off times will be added here soon!
Will kids be invited to the ceremony?
While we love your little ones, our wedding events will be adults-only so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us. Do you have recommendations for where to stay?
Yes! The travel tab has recommended hotels. We will have the shuttle pick up and drop off at Fairfield Inn & Suites as well as Arrowwood Resort.
Unplugged Ceremony
We know taking photos during the ceremony can have the greatest intent of documenting and remembering the day, we kindly ask you to keep your phones tucked away in pockets or purses during the ceremony so everyone can be present and enjoy the ceremony! We have a phenomenal photographer who will be documenting every moment and will be happy to share photos after the wedding!
How far away is the venue from Minneapolis / St. Paul?
Alexandria, MN is just over a 2 hour drive from MSP Airport. For out of town guest it is recommended to rent a car or coordinate carpools with local guest.
