On October 4th, 2020, Maya and Cody met at a Cru event on the San Diego Miramar Community College campus. After very subtle *not really* exchanges of stares, they got introduced by a close friend. After the event, Maya slid right on into Cody's DM's, and they talked until 2 o'clock in the morning. After a month and a half of talking and hanging out at Cru events, Cody asked Maya to be his girlfriend! And now, over four years later, they are tying the knot!!!

On June 6th, 2023, Cody popped the question and asked Maya to marry him! While Maya was *very* sneaky and knew it was happening, Cody planned the perfect day. They started out doing a bible study at their favorite spot in San Diego, Mt. Soledad. Then, they took a picnic lunch to Gliderport and then headed to their favorite beach - where they had their first dates and shared their first kiss. After sitting down on the beach, they got up and walked to the water where Cody got down on one knee and asked Maya to marry him! After that, their close friends, who introduced them to each other, popped out of the background and photographed the whole thing!! After a little photoshoot, they all headed to the surprise engagement party at Garden Coffee where they were celebrated so dearly by their closest family and friends!
