Mayson and Kayla first met in youth group towards the end of their freshmen year in high school. They began to learn more about each other on a youth missions trip to Dayton Ohio. Kayla became friends with his sister Meyghan first and after the missions trip, Mayson and Kayla started attending each other's football, soccer, choir, and softball events as friends. They also sang together on the youth worship team every week. After a few months of getting to know each other, they began dating on January 5th 2019. They dated for 5 years and got engaged on their 5th year anniversary. Their wedding is now set for June 22nd, 2024.
