We met in 2018 in Ghana, Mbali-Ashley was there attending Bible College, while Yasha was attending a ministerial and leadership conference hosted and held on the very campus Mbali-Ashley was a student, as destiny would have it, Mbali-Ashley was also part of the team taking care of all logistics and stay of all registered VIPs guest/ministers of the gospel, from different parts of the world. Now this is where the road split as there are 2 versions of the story...ladies as we all know, men always fabricate how we initially felt about them when we first saw them...Yasha is no different. Now this is my version of the story, it was a Thursday, day 2 of the conference, & as usual, after we'd settled all our guests into the auditorium for the conference, we took some time to do some quick team briefing meetings and administrative work concerning the guests we were serving to see how we could better our efforts in ensuring they had the best stay and experience possible logistically. So this was just 1 of those meetings with our small team outside, and suddenly I felt this strong strong feeling something or someone was either behind me or staring at me, I turned around to find this man...(side eyes) staring at me, this continued throughout the whole duration of the conference, till he would proceed to find a way and gather the courage to come say hi & introduce himself, to say the least, I was annoyed! Absolutely annoyed, for I was in that deep heavenly of heavenly overly spiritual phase of my life, & male interest felt like blasphemy itself hahaha. By the last day of the conference, I found myself being a little more friendly & polite than I anticipated, he claims I gave him my numbers, I don't recall...(side eye). After that conference I continued with my life on campus till I graduated from my program, then a couple of days later, when I finally arrived in SA the man had boarded a plane to come "find" me, I "bumped" into him at my church on Sunday where he had traced me, well let's say the rest is history haha.
