It all started with a diabetes case study group project in grad school. . . how romantic. I rode her coattails and she was the big brain (nothing has changed). It took another year or two and a few school pizza parties before I got the courage to ask her out. I did say this was grad school and not 7th grade, right?

Regardless, we spent the next year or so traveling the country just to see each other and finish school: Philadelphia, Flagstaff, Las Vegas, Washington D.C., Des Moines, Minneapolis, and Boise. We quickly learned that we both love adventures, near and far. So eventually, we loaded our cars and moved to Boise, separately of course, because we can't make anything easy. We continued to adventure as much as we possibly could, visiting new places for no reason, and visiting old places for good reasons, like weddings.

We both had been in and to enough weddings that we started to think it might be a good idea to have one of our own. So naturally, I bought a ring because it was on sale and hid it under our bed for five months. That is until we decided to go on another adventure just outside of Boise. We hiked a very short, but very steep trail that had us sweaty and our hearts racing, but for different reasons. Once we had a little snack and enough time for me to get my legs to stop shaking, I asked McCall to marry me, to which she did not say a word, but just took the ring and put it on herself. I took it as a yes. Most miraculously, was the poor guy who was taking our picture and had no warning what was about to happen, but he captured the perfect moment that you see above. We had another adventure planned the next weekend to visit Seattle and to celebrate our new engagement.

We have not stopped adventuring, nor do we ever intend to stop. We even decided to do this whole wedding adventure thing on expert mode. Rather than plan it from the city we're having it in, we planned the first half from Boise, and we are planning the second half from New York City, where we are living for the next year. Another adventure.

This special day is tremendous adventure for us, but certainly not the last. We are so excited for all of you to go on this one with us!
