Andrew and I first met at Pogolino’s restaurant in 2016. We worked a lot of the same shifts together, but we didn’t talk much at all. We were both in our own relationships and mainly talked restaurant biz and joked around.
A year or so after I left Pogolino’s, I started serving at Pasta House in 2019. It wasn’t until early 2020 that Andrew had sent me a message on Snapchat. I thought it was a little odd since I had barely talked to him when we worked together but it all started with a “Hey” and I just went with it. We were both single and so I thought why not? We chatted back and forth for months and talked about everything and also talked about nothing! Surprisingly, we never got bored talking to each other all day everyday!
After months of texting back and forth, Andrew asked me out on a date to Billy G’s restaurant. We both dressed up and had such a great dinner! We sat awkwardly waiting for our table and it seemed like all of the months we texted back and forth all day long had lead me to run out of things to talk about in that moment….. it wasn’t until we finally sat down at our table that we just sort of relaxed and conversation started flowing! We enjoyed taking, eating and people watching LOL! We officially started dating February 22, 2020!
For Andrew’s birthday I wanted to take him on a little weekend getaway with just the two of us! We decided on Gatlinburg, Tennessee and stayed in a little AirBnb cabin. It was such a perfect little trip. We got to go shopping, see the aquarium and eat at some amazing restaurants. When we were not out and about, we were hanging out at the cabin enjoying the hot tub while it snowed! On Friday January 13, 2023 Andrew asked me to marry him while at our little cabin in the woods as it was snowing...and it was absolutely the easiest “yes!” He picked out the most gorgeous ring and I was so thrilled to start planning our forever!
