Our first picture together! We went to the engineering ball together as a 2nd date before we were official on March 15th

The Junior/Senior dance was on our one month! JS was a fun way to celebrate that together!

Nate stayed for McKenna’s graduation before he drove up to Michigan for his summer internship. We then began long distance for the summer. McKenna stayed home studying for her social work license exam, and applied for jobs.

Long distance was full of evening calls together doing bible study, praying, playing iPhone games, watching movies, some tears and lots of talking. We even did a watercolor date!!

We got to spend the week together in Alaska where McKenna met the McKays for the first time and got to experience beautiful views with lots of fun times spent together seeing wild animals, going to his family’s lake house, and trips around town exploring. This is where Nate first said “I love you!”

McKenna moved into her Cedarville apartment and started working as a social worker at Dayton Children’s Hospital!

6 months! Nate beat McKenna in mini golf at Young’s dairy. It was sweet to go back to where the first date was!

The last date before Nate went home for Christmas break. An evening at Clifton Mills to look at Christmas lights and exchange gifts. If you look around at the venue you will find a paint by number of the two of us dancing that Nate got McKenna for Christmas to do while he was away.

1 year together! We went to The Melting Pot for a fun dinner together. We got to talk about the last year, share memories, and pray together.

The YES day! Nate was sneaky and told McKenna that this weekend (Easter weekend) is when he would be asking her dad for her hand in marriage. Little did McKenna know, he had asked in February when her family was visiting. BEST SURPRISE EVER!

At McKenna’s parents house there was a surprise party where her entire family was waiting along with some friends. It was a special weekend for us! The Kaneversky’s are excited to add another member to the family!

McKenna is one proud fiancée here! Nate and McKenna’s family came to celebrate on his graduation day. The parents met for the first time and hit it off well! Long distance then began until mid-July when Nate begins working.

McKenna flew up to Alaska to spend the week with Nate’s family. There was some wedding planning, played games, and enjoyed all the time spent together! This picture was taken in Seward, a city about 2 1/2 hours south of Anchorage.

We got our engagement pictures in Alaska! This was an important way to include Alaska in our story and the background is STUNNING! Look through the photos tab to see more pictures!
