The Lord designed our paths to cross on the loveliest Sunday morning on October 30th, 2022 at Denton Bible Church in Denton, Texas (where McKenna's parents attend)! I (McKenna) happened to be in town (from Abilene) visiting that weekend for my sister-in-law's bridal shower!

For the longest duration of time, my mom encouraged me to attend their Sunday morning young adult service. After much (emphasis on the much) convincing, I finally decided that October 30th was the day! When I recall that morning, I jokingly note that my mom dropped me off at "daycare," simply because she had to escort me to the room & it took loads of encouragement and moral support (new and "brave" things are hard sometimes for us introverts)!

I quietly (and perhaps nervously) sat at the nearest table, where I began to write in my journal and ponder what the morning service would bring. Approximately 15 minutes following my arrival, Josh entered the room and asked if he might be able to occupy the seat next to me. I, of course, smiled and nodded my head to signal that it would be alright to do so! (He was super cute--how could I have said no?)! We barely had a moment to exchange anything but pleasantries, but even within that brevity, there was something deeply sacred about the way he looked at me for the first time. It truly felt like he was gazing into the depths of my soul. I think our hearts must have recognized one another . . . our homes in human form. It was an inexplicably magnetic connection from the beginning. I do believe God must have been smiling down on us that day.

Many chapters have occurred since this time & we are beyond excited to see how God will write the rest of our love story! We pray it honors and glorifies Him in every way. We are endlessly blessed by friends and family who have loved and supported us throughout the journey--biggest love to you all! We cannot wait to celebrate with each of you on the BEST DAY EVER! August 25th, here we come!!✨
