Jace & McKenna met for the first time in 2004 thanks to McKenna’s brother Jackson! Jace &amp; Jackson attended preschool together at Shepherd of The Desert in Scottsdale, AZ and became the best of friends on the very first day! Their immediate bond eventually led to a close family friendship between the Burkes &amp; the Sheehys that consisted of lots of playdates, fun dinners, and backyard shenanigans. When the Burke family moved to Ohio a few years later that family friendship became a long-distance one that continued on for almost 15 years.

How They Met!

Over the many years that the Burkes lived in Ohio, Jace and McKenna never saw one another! Luckily, in his sophomore year of college, Jace decided to spend his spring break taking a trip back to Scottsdale with his father Troy. On the first night of their trip, Jace and Troy met McKenna, Terri, Jackson, and Ted for dinner at the Teepee Mexican Restaurant to catch up. The romantic connection was immediate and McKenna &amp; Jace spent as much time together as possible that weekend. They really got to know each other again long-distance through many facetime calls and constant texting when Jace went back to school in Evansville to finish his sophomore year. Within four months Jace and the rest of the Burke family had decided to move back to Scottsdale; Pretty much as soon as he arrived in Arizona Jace asked McKenna to be his girlfriend. By the following fall Jace and McKenna were falling in love and enjoying finishing college together as students at ASU!

How They Fell in Love!

Jace & McKenna have now been together for over five amazing years! They live an extremely happy, peaceful, and very fun life together in Scottsdale with their beloved cat Meow. Jace asked McKenna to be his wife on July 6th 2024 on a romantic weekend vacation in Flagstaff, AZ. They are so excited for this next beautiful step in their lives together and can’t wait to celebrate it with all of you!

Camelback Mountain is a challenging hike, especially for the average hiker. The hike is absolutely worth it for the stunning views, but preparation is key. Hiking boots are highly recommended. Be sure to bring plenty of water.
