Q + A

Will the ceremony and/or receptrion be indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony will be held outdoors, and the reception will flow between indoor and outdoor spaces. The mountain air can get a bit chilly in the evening, so bring a warm layer and get ready to celebrate under the stars!

Is there a dress code?

Guest attire is Black Tie Optional! If you’d like to dress up in a tuxedo or long gown, we’d love it, but a well-tailored suit or a lovely cocktail or midi dress is just as perfect. Choose whatever feels comfortable, special, and celebratory... We’re simply grateful to have you with us!

When should we arrive to the event?

Our ceremony begins at 3:30 PM. Because the venue is about 30 minutes from town, we kindly recommend guests arrive by 3:00 PM to allow time for parking and seating. Thank you for giving yourselves a comfortable buffer—we can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Can I bring children?

Yes! We love your little ones and look forward to celebrating with the whole family.

Can I bring a guest?

We’re so excited to celebrate with our favorite people! If your invitation includes a guest, we’d love for them to join you. Due to the intimacy of our wedding, we’re only able to accommodate those listed on the invitation. Thank you for understanding!

Where can I find the registry?

We truly don’t expect anything other than your presence—having you celebrate with us is the greatest gift of all! However, you can find our registry details on our wedding website or listed on your invitation.

What should I do if I can't make the event?

We’ll miss you! Please let us know by selecting “Can’t make it” on your RSVP and reach out to the bride or groom so we know you’re sending love from afar.

Can I take photos or bring my cellphone?

Feel free to bring your phone and capture the fun throughout the day! We just ask that you keep phones tucked away during the ceremony so everyone can be fully present in the moment with us.

Where do you have hotel blocks?

We are so excited to welcome everyone! We have arranged several hotel blocks so you can stay close and enjoy the weekend with us. Purgatory Lodge and Peregrine Point, Purgatory Village at Kendall, Village Center and Eolus, and Sheol Street Lodging are all an easy walk from the venue. Cascade Village and a selection of townhomes and homes are just a quick three to five minute drive away. Each option includes a fifteen percent discount for two nights, with extra savings if you stay three nights. You will find the booking link on our wedding website under "Travel & Stay"!

Is there parking at the wedding venue?

At Purgatory Resort, there is plenty of parking available for visitors! You'll find various parking lots around the resort, and they are clearly marked with plenty of signs to guide you to the main lot. These signs are strategically placed to ensure that you don't miss any important turns or areas, making it easy to find your way around.
