Is the ceremony/reception indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony will be outside. The reception will be inside the barn but it is not air-conditioned or heated.

What is the address of the barn?

32597 Hay Rd, Mackinaw, IL 61755

What is the best way to get the venue?

If you are coming from the east, it will make you probably go down a gravel road that is a little rough. We recommend turning on Keyser road which is west of the venue and then follow the signs to the barn.

Is there a dress code?

We want you to be comfortable at our wedding. The dress code is dressy casual attire. May we suggest the following attire: Women: sundresses, lightweight separates and flats or wedge heels for the outdoor ceremony on the lawn. Men: light dress shirt with khaki or other lightweight slacks; jackets and ties optional. We ask for no jeans, shorts or flip flops.

Are there any colors I should avoid wearing?

We ask you try to avoid wearing white, sage and dusty rose as those are our wedding party colors.

Do I need to bring cash?

We do have a cash bar, but they can take a card. We also have a dollar dash game if you are wanting to participate.

Will there be a bar?

There will be a cash bar available. They do take card with a $20 minimum tab.

What time should we arrive to the ceremony?

The ceremony will start at 4:00pm sharp. So, please arrive early enough to find a seat and socialize before the event.

What type of food is being served?

There will be 2 entrees served. There will be pulled pork and pulled brisket. There is salad, green beans, mac and cheese and fresh potato chips. There will also be twisted candied bacon as well as a large dessert bar.

What date should I RSVP by?

We ask that you please RSVP by September 1st. If we do not receive a response by then, we will take that as you are unable to join us and we will not save you a seat.

Is there a room block available?

We have a room block at the Holiday Express Inn and Suites in Morton, IL. More information on our Travel page. You must book by September 11.

Are my children or plus ones allowed?

We ask that you only bring the people that are addressed on your invite. When you RSVP online, it will list all who is invited.

Where are you registered?

We're looking forward to celebrating with you on our big day. Having you attend our wedding is the greatest gift of all, however, if you're looking for wedding gift ideas, we've registered here for things that we need for our home: Amazon, Target, and our Honeymoon Fund on The Knot.

When will the reception end?

The reception will end at 11:00pm.

Is there things to do in Morton and Mackinaw area?

Morton is known for being the "Pumpkin Capital of the World". You can visit Roth Pumpkin patch for fun with kids or a great fall day. Mackinaw also has a great winery and tea room. Tea room does require reservations if you are interested. Peoria is also a short drive away with plenty of restaurants and activities as well.

Can I post wedding photos on social media?

We ask that you wait till the the bride and/or groom post before you post to major social media platforms. After that, we would love to see all the photos you captured!

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?

We ask that you do not take photos during the ceremony as we have hired a great photographer and videographer. After the ceremony, we say take all the photos! Just please make sure to be aware of our photographers and videographers so they can do their jobs.

Is there parking?

Yes, there is free parking at the venue.

Can I RSVP online or do I have to mail in an RSVP card?

We are only doing RSVPs via our website. There is nothing to mail back to us.
