Our story began 5 years ago at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. McKenzie was completing her clinical internship in the athletic training room while Michael was student coaching for the UWRF Football Team. After a couple of weeks, Michael finally got the courage to ask McKenzie out on their first date. After dating for a couple of months, Michael moved to Mayville, North Dakota to coach college football while McKenzie moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin to complete her doctorate degree at Marquette University. From the numerous plane rides to the countless facetimes, we've learned how to love each other from thousands of miles away. In the fall of 2023, Michael proposed to McKenzie on the Swinging Bridge in River Falls. Words cannot describe how excited we are to begin this next chapter of our lives together!
