Our Wedding

<p>Their story began in September 2019 at Surry Community College, where they were student athletes playing softball and baseball. When they first met, McKenzie was not quite sold on the idea of having a boyfriend and definitely played hard to get. Coty never stopped trying, and over time, his patience and kindness won her heart. Shortly after, COVID-19 shut the world down. Coty moved back home three hours away, and they didn't see each other for six months, not knowing what the future of their relationship would hold. Thanks to gaining another year of eligibility, they got to spend a whole year together at Surry, where they were able to build their relationship stronger. From then on, they never looked back. They overcame the challenges of navigating a long distance relationship, only seeing each other on the weekends, and they made the most of their time together. Coty joined McKenzie's family beach trip every year, and finally, on the sixth trip, July 22, 2025, he woke her up early to watch the sunrise, where he asked her to spend the rest of his life with him. Now here they are, six and a half years later, and those two young athletes are stepping up to the plate to start their lives together as husband and wife!</p>
