So we met how all modern day romances start… on bumble. Our very first date had last minute change of plans where my friends invited Derrac to their house. He surprisingly agreed and when I stepped outside to meet him I got instant butterflies. He came in and met a bunch of my friends. Multiple people were like girl he is fine! I was like I know! After every time we would hang out the first few weeks getting to know one another I would be so excited and couldn’t wait to see him again. My birthday came only a few weeks after dating and he did the sweetest romantic gesture where he took me to a bookstore and told me to pick whatever book I wanted and he would get it for me. I knew after that date that he might actually like me. We are definitely polar opposites when it comes to our personalities. I am pretty loud and boisterous while he is reserve and observing. That being said we definitely moved pretty quickly when it comes to relationships. He met my family only after dating for 2 months. I knew after that amazing weekend that I was in love. I couldn’t hold it in so I spilled it first being the talkative person I am. I was relieved to hear him reciprocate those feelings. Everyday with him is something new. I have found my best friend that I can be myself around and no he is judging me but he still loves me. I am super thrilled I get to walk through this life with him by my side and I can’t wait for our day of celebration of our love!
