Matt and I met at church when he started attending my small group. We connected immediately over our weird senses of humor and small world shared experiences. We started dating in the summer of 2023, while I was taking full-time grad school classes. He supported me right away and got used to my crazy schedule of work, school, and parenting.


I knew Matt was the one when, in August, my car got hit and totaled on my drive up to Mackinac Island to volunteer for an event. He dropped all of his weekend plans to pack a bag and drive me up himself. He stayed the entire weekend, made sure I was all set, and even volunteered for the event himself!


Matt serves alongside me in the church, which is another green flag I prayed for. He is on the security team at church, he prepares communion, and he is part of discipleship wherever he is able. He is eager to learn how to parent, and he loves Elliot like his own.


Our story is still beginning, but God has had his hand in every part of it. We are excited to see how he writes the rest of it!
