The Beginning

Our love story first started back in our early high school days, cruising around our Magnolia, TX neighborhood on golf carts. We “dated” for a few months—mostly neighborhood hangouts with one memorable trip to Grimaldi’s! After just three months, McKenzie took a trip to New Mexico with her best friend Amanda (now Maid of Honor). Spencer thought it was the perfect time to call things off… only to immediately regret it.

High School Days

Even after the breakup, fate kept bringing us together. We shared classes, friend groups, and countless social gatherings. Spencer tried to win McKenzie back (he knew she was the one!), but her strong will wouldn’t budge. Still, anyone could see the spark between us never really went away—even if McKenzie was doing her best to ignore it.

Post-College Years

Life took us down different paths, with McKenzie at the University of Arkansas and Spencer at Sam Houston. But when McKenzie moved back home after graduation, destiny stepped in. Thanks to Bumble, we matched (both swiping right, of course), and our first date felt like picking up right where we left off in high school.

The Love Story Continues

Over the next few years, we built our relationship on travel (lots of trips to Utah and Houston), adventures, and endless laughter. In late 2023, Spencer landed his dream job at American Airlines, and we made the move to Dallas together to start a new chapter.

The Proposal

In April of 2025, Spencer got down on one knee during an intimate lakeside picnic at Grapevine Lake. McKenzie said “yes” without hesitation, and now we couldn’t be more excited to spend forever together.
