Our Wedding

Our story is unique but we wouldn't change a thing. In February 2013 I was in the parking lot of&nbsp;my high school with a friend when her boyfriend pulls up to give her a Valentine, when all of a sudden this young man (boy lol) gets out of the passenger side with a brown teddy bear and comes up to me and asks "Will you be my Valentine?" ... What did I tell him??? "No, I'm good". If only I knew then, what I know now.&nbsp;Several years go by and we continue to run into each other and each and every time I am like “why does this guy keep giving me this ugly look”? It wasn't until I saw him at a concert that I realized that he was the boy in the parking lot that I turned down.&nbsp;Then one evening in&nbsp;November 2019, we both happened to be at Mavericks Dance Hall in Buda.&nbsp;I see Bailey out of the corner of my eye and decide "I am going to ask him to dance", after a couple tries and a little liquid courage he finally says “yes”. We danced ALL night long and before we knew it, the bar was closing.&nbsp;I then had the nerve to ask him out on a date.&nbsp;I offered to take him to my favorite restaurant, The Texican Café. Bailey actually almost cancelled om me, but I guess with enough persuasion he agreed to go after all.&nbsp;I then realized how nervous I was, but in Bailey fashion, he made me feel comfortable and we talked the entire time. As we are leaving and my confidence had taken the best of me, Bailey reaches in for a “side hug”.&nbsp;Yes, I said “SIDE HUG”. Now I am the one who is overthinking and analyzing our entire evening.&nbsp;We continue to talk and text over the next couple of days, then I see him again at Maverick’s, where naturally we found our way back to the dance floor when "Rumor" by Lee Brice comes on and the rest is history.. JOKING kind of.&nbsp;From that day on we were inseparable, after I pretty much forced this guy to like me AFTER I was the one that rejected him many years before. Which he will NEVER let me forget and why it is important that I share this with all of you.&nbsp;&nbsp;We didn't know that just a couple months into us dating the whole world would shut down for a pandemic forcing us to be together 24/7. During this time we were able to have deep conversations and dive into what we were looking for in a lifetime partner faster than most couples do. We were inseparable and soon I moved in with Bailey, who just happened to live 3 streets over.&nbsp;So in October 2020 we decided to take that next big step.I knew Bailey loved me, but I did not realize how much until he let me re-decorate the entire house while he was out of town with his dad in Ohio.&nbsp;At that moment I knew that if he could trust me with changing his “bachelor pad” into our “home" then it had to be true love.&nbsp; How Bailey Proposed:Those that know me know that all I have ever wanted in life was to be a wife and a mom, so I have been dreaming about my proposal and wedding since I was like 7 years old. Bailey knew that I wanted 3 things in a proposal:1. I wanted it to be just me and him – intimate and personal2. I wanted it to be secretly recorded – I guess not so intimate and personal&nbsp;3. I wanted to have my nails done (since I NEVER get my nails done)&nbsp;In April of 2021 my brother was playing a hockey tournament in Colorado. Bailey and I decided that after being stuck in the same town for a year during lockdown,&nbsp;we deserved a vacation.In my mind, I thought “what a beautiful place to get engaged”!Well little did I know Bailey was already ahead of me, he had told everyone at Thanksgiving that he was going to propose and at Easter he showed everyone the ring.About 2 weeks before our vacation, I check the mail and see something from “JARED”! I&nbsp;felt excited and nervous, but also invasive, I texted my Cousin Sam, and went into complete panic mode, not knowing that she knew all along. She calms me down and just tells me well use this as an excuse to go get your nails done but DO NOT tell B you saw that letter!&nbsp;I go get my nails done and pack my suitcase. I start overthinking every single outfit because I want to look cute when we get engaged and end up packing a 50lb suitcase for a 4 day trip, not knowing my mom will make fun of me the entire time.&nbsp;&nbsp; On one of those special days, we all decided to go to&nbsp;Garden of the Gods and I am thinking this is it, it's going to happen today! Naturally, I decided it was a good idea to wear jeans and heeled booties on a HIKE (while everyone else is in hiking gear) and guess what, HE DID NOT EVEN PROPOSE! I start to feel let down and realize that this is not going to happen.&nbsp;I mean seriously, who wears jeans and booties to go hiking? I was getting dressed up for every single activity.&nbsp;&nbsp;We end up having a fantastic trip and although I am let down, I know that it will happen when B is ready.&nbsp;We land in Austin and Bailey's phone starts blowing up and he starts getting all nervous and shaky but blames it on the altitude. His dad picks us up from the airport and tells us that we have to wait at their house until Janette gets home.&nbsp;B thought it would be nice to visit with them and share their gifts from the trip. I am fatigued, jet lagged and look like I really did go hiking in my yoga pants and t-shirt.&nbsp;Bailey then walks in, grabs my hand and tells me how much he loves me and how he cannot wait to spend the rest of his life with me.&nbsp;He gets down on one knee and it happened! He PROPOSES... I was so shocked I almost forgot to say “yes”.&nbsp;Remember the 3 things that I always wanted in a proposal?&nbsp;I got 1 of those things... I happened to have my nails painted!I didn't care about anything else other than the fact the man of my dreams just asked me to marry him and everything I ever wanted went out the window.&nbsp;Bailey asked me to marry him the way that he wanted too, on his terms and nothing else mattered! I am so grateful that Janette was able to record the proposal and at one point, Kirk looked up at said “ Well looky there”!&nbsp;&nbsp;After he proposed he told me that he wanted to make it special but my ring had not arrived on time.&nbsp;He actually felt bad that I had dressed up for every event in Colorado, but heck, that makes a great story.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Bailey is the most loving, funny, affectionate, patient, faithful, and romantic guy. I thank god every day for putting him back in my life and choosing him as my person. Our initial journey was non-traditional, but our future is everything!&nbsp;I can't wait to marry you B.&nbsp;
