What do I need to know about the Welcome party on Friday, June 5?
The welcome party will take place Friday at 7 PM on the second floor of the Eight Settlers Distillery (directly next to the Courtyard Salt Lake City Cottonwood hotel). Light dinner and drinks provided — please bring your ID. Dress is casual. We would love to welcome you all to Utah and spend time together before all the wedding festivities officially begin on Saturday!
When and where is the wedding ceremony?
The wedding ceremony will take place at St. Ambrose Catholic Church at 1 PM.
St. Ambrose is located at 2315 E Redondo Ave, Salt Lake City, UT (~15 minutes away from the Courtyard Salt Lake City Cottonwood hotel). Please plan to arrive at the church no later than 12:45 PM . Guests are asked to arrange their own transportation.
When and where is the wedding cocktail hour and reception?
Following the wedding ceremony, guests will have a break to relax before cocktail hour and the reception begins at La Caille. Starting at 4:30 PM a complimentary shuttle service will begin transporting guests from the Courtyard Salt Lake City Cottonwood hotel to La Caille for the cocktail hour and reception. The reception will conclude at 10 PM. Following the reception, a shuttle will be available to take guests back to the Courtyard Salt Lake City Cottonwood hotel (the first shuttle will depart at 9:30 PM).
What should I do during the break between the wedding ceremony and cocktail hour?
After the ceremony you’re free to spend this break however you’d like — relax, mingle, take a little walk, or grab a bite and a drink.
If you’re looking for a recommendation, we suggest stopping by Eight Settlers Distillery to enjoy a drink and some appetizers.
Eight Settlers is located next to the Courtyard Salt Lake City Cottonwood hotel. At 4:30 PM a complimentary shuttle service will begin transporting guests from the Courtyard Salt Lake City Cottonwood hotel to La Caille for the cocktail hour and reception.
Will there be an after-party?
For guests who want to keep the celebration going, we will be staying at the La Caille Cocktail Lounge for an after-party from 10 PM to 12 AM MT and we'd love for you to join us! A shuttle will be looping from La Caille to the Courtyard Salt Lake City Cottonwood hotel during this time, with a final shuttle back for all guests at 12 AM MT.
What is the dress code?
Recommended attire for the Welcome Party is casual. Recommended attire for all wedding day events is cocktail attire.
Note for the ladies - A portion of the reception will be in a grassy area, so you may consider wearing more of a block heel.
Are children able to come to the Wedding Day?
We love your kids—we really do! But for our big day, we’ve decided to keep the celebration adults-only. We hope this gives you a chance to relax, let loose, and enjoy the evening with us. Thank you for understanding!
