In the late evening of January 2nd, 2016, Erik and Meagan were both at Tommy's Place in Downtown Port Jefferson. At first, they were introduced and chatted briefly before parting ways to mingle with friends. Later, Meagan spotted Erik get an entire drink spilled all over his brand-new shirt. Meagan seized her opportunity, grabbed a seltzer and some napkins from the bar, and headed towards Erik. The two hit it off and talked until the bar closed. Following that night, Erik took a risk and asked Meagan on a date…they have spoken every day since.

The start of their relationship came with ease. Everyone in Meagan's life instantly loved Erik, and Erik's friends and family felt the same. The two spent years in a long-distance relationship, visiting each other at college any time they could. They attended each other's college parties, graduations, holidays, weddings, and family vacations, and were there for each other's bad news and celebrated each other's good news.

In year 6, Erik planned the perfect date and took Meagan to the beach where they had their first date. Under a gazebo at sunset, Erik asked Meagan to marry him. Meagan sobbed, of course, and said YES!

In 2023, after living on Long Island, New Jersey, and Brooklyn, the newly minted fiancés decided to take on a new challenge of buying a house. They did research and went to open houses and showings any chance they got. After months of searching, the two found their perfect home in Rockville Centre.

Now that they bought a house, it was time to plan a wedding. 2024 was dedicated to just that. After all these years together, it's only right to celebrate with the people who helped them and supported them on their journey.
